 Gulnara Akhundova has over 15 years of international development experience, specializing for 9 years in media development.
 
 Since 2004, Gulnara Akhundova has designed and led various media and advocacy programs, including behavior change communication programs in partnership with Johns Hopkins University Center for Communication Programs, media and freedom of expression initiatives in partnerships with World Association of Newspapers and News Publishers, IREX Pro Media and European Broadcasting Union.
 
 In 2008, Gulnara joined International Media Support (IMS), a non-profit organization that works in more than 40 countries worldwide helping to strengthen professional journalism and ensure that media can operate in challenging circumstances.
 
 Gulnara heads up Azerbaijan Media Center and oversees various media assistance projects implemented by partner organizations. As the Center's Director, she oversees its operations to ensure production efficiency, quality, service and cost-effective management of resources.
 
 She has served on numerous panels at international media conferences and is often called upon to serve as business development consultant for startup agencies. Gulnara is an author and facilitator of diverse training courses and seminars on strategic communications and media relations. Her audience varies from private sector communications managers to government officials and civil servants.
