Jan Alexander Dekker (1939) studied Applied Physics at the Delft University of Technology. | |
After finishing his studies in 1964, Jan Dekker joined the Dutch multinational AKZO (polymers, coatings, etc) where he made a career in R&D and production. | |
He became manager of international projects and subsequently General Manager of Nichemtex, a Nigeria-based daughter company of AKZO. | |
In 1985 Jan Dekker became CEO of nv GTI Holding, a company involved in electrical and mechanical contracting. | |
In 1995 the Dutch Queen approved his new function as President of the Board of Management of the Netherlands Organisation for Applied Scientific Research (TNO). |
