Dr. Margo BROUNS Senior researcher

 In 2000 she published a research on potential gender bias in the assessment systems of the Dutch Organization for Scientific Research. Current research concentrates on selection procedures for full professors commissioned by the Dutch Ministry of Education, Culture and Science.
2002-2005 Manager of the project Gender and Sciences and associate professor Gender Studies in Social Sciences at the Groningen University. She was also co-rapporteur for the workshop Minimising Gender Bias in Definition and Measurement of Scientific Excellence, organized by the European Commission (Women and Science Unit) in co-operation with RSCAS-EUI and the Joint Research Centre (EC). The report, including the synthesis "Gender and Excellence in the making" was published in 2004.
