| Veronika Baumgartner-Putz is a Senior Advisor for International Financial Institutions (IFIs) at the Austrian Federal Ministry of Finance. She has wide-ranging experience in the fields of development finance and cooperation. From July 2018 until July 2019 she was a member of the Board of Directors of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), based in Beijing, where she represented the then twelve Euro-Area member countries of the Bank as their Director. From July 2015 to June 2016 she was an Alternate Director for Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Turkey and the UK at the Asian Development Bank’s Board of Directors in Manila. Before that she held a variety of economic policy related positions at the Ministry of Finance, mostly focusing on IFIs. Previously, before joining the Ministry in 2010, she worked with, among others, UNDP, the European Commission, the Austrian Development Agency and the private sector. Veronika Baumgartner-Putz holds a law degree from the University of Vienna and an MA in Political Economy from the University of Essex, UK. |
