Wie können wir in ungewissen Situationen, in denen viel auf dem Spiel steht – die z.B. Gesundheitsvorsorge, Klimawandel o.ä. betreffen – schnell gute Entscheidungen treffen, wenn es schwierig ist, Informationen zu beschaffen? Wir beschäftigen uns mit Theorie und Praxis richtiger Entscheidungsfindung unter Nutzung einfacher Strategien und begrenzter Informationen und der Kommunikation von Informationen, die für EntscheidungsträgerInnen auf persönlicher sowie gesellschaftlicher/politischer Ebene von Nutzen ist. Wir beschäftigen uns mit Fällen aus Katastrophenrisikomanagement, Klimawandel und dem Gesundheitsbereich, um zu sehen, wie Fachleute, KonsumentInnen und politische EntscheidungsträgerInnen voneinander lernen können, um die Risikokommunikation zu verbessern und richtige Entscheidungen zu treffen.
