05: Never Mind the Gap – Die OSZE zwischen Ost und West

Die OSZE ist die einzige gemeinsame Sicherheitsgemeinschaft, die ganz Europa – Ost und West – umfasst. Im 21. Jahrhundert ist die Bedeutung der OSZE stark zurückgegangen, während die Herausforderungen geblieben sind. Konflikte wie in Georgien, Moldawien oder dem Kosovo stellen ernsthafte Hindernisse für Frieden und Wohlstand auf dem Kontinent dar. Darüber hinaus hat sich die Kluft zwischen einem wieder erstarkten Russland und dem Westen in den letzten Jahren verstärkt. Droht der OSZE die Bedeutungslosigkeit, oder kann sie wieder ein wichtiger Akteur in der europäischen Sicherheitsarchitektur werden und Brücken zwischen Ost und West schlagen?
