Die nachhaltigen Entwicklungsziele der Vereinten Nationen (SDG), die auf die sogenannten Millennium-Entwicklungsziele (MDG) folgen, müssen der Herausforderung gerecht werden, richtige Antworten zu finden und konkrete Ergebnisse zu liefern. Eine der Lehren der MDG ist aber, dass eine nachhaltige Lösung sozialer und umwelttechnischer Herausforderungen ohne Wachstum besonders schwierig ist. Wie einflussreich ist die EU bei der Entwicklung internationaler Strategien zur Armutsbekämpfung und Entwicklungsförderung? Welche zentralen europäischen Strategien gibt es? Wie kann die Privatwirtschaft helfen, die Folgen der Wirtschaftskrise zu meistern und gleichzeitig nachhaltigen Wohlstand für alle zu schaffen?
