Europas doppelte Standards gegenüber einer korrupten Außenwelt?

German and English languageKorruption und ihre Bekämpfung als wichtige Einflussfaktoren in einem umfassenden Sicherheitsbegriff werden zunehmend auch als Themata politischer Betätigungsfelder und Handlungsnotwendigkeiten gesehen. Dabei kommen im internationalen Diskurs, etwa insbesondere in Fragen des Erweiterungsprozesses der Europäischen Union, aber ebenso in den transnationalen Handlungsbeziehungen mit der so genannten 2. und 3. Welt, verstärkt klare Vorgaben und Auflagen der EU- Altmitgliedsstaaten bzw. der Entwickelten Welt zum Einsatz. Nur leicht parallel versetzt müssen sich Europa und der Westen dazu jedoch vermehrt auch täuschende Selbstgerechtigkeit und das Anlegen doppelter Standards zum Vorwurf machen lassen. Wie steht es nun wirklich um die Innen- und Außenrolle Europas im Kontext dieser Thematik?

| Mr. Kreutner is Dean and Executive Secretary of the International Anti-Corruption Academy (IACA). He was Director of the Austrian Federal Bureau for Internal Affairs and President of the European Partners against Corruption (EPAC/EACN) network. He extensively lectured worldwide on anti-corruption, international humanitarian law, and security topics. He is/was member of several international boards and a senior reviewer for the United Nations, the Council of Europe, OECD, Transparency International, and the World Bank. He holds a Master in Law from the University of Innsbruck and a Master in Policing and Public Order Studies from the University of Leicester. |
