Jean-Claude TRICHET

Jean-Claude Trichet is presently Chairman of the Board of Directors of Bruegel Institute (Brussels) and European Chairman of the Trilateral Commission. Trichet is a member of the "Institut de France" (Académie des Sciences Morales et Politiques). He is is honorary chairman of the Group of Thirty (Washington). He was a member of the Eminent Persons Group on Global Financial Governance (EPG) set up in 2017 by the G20 Finance Ministers and Governors. Jean-Claude Trichet was President of the European Central Bank (2003-2011). He was Governor of Banque de France (1993-2003) and Undersecretary of the French Treasury (1987-1993). He was President of the Paris Club (debt rescheduling) (1985-1993), President of the European Monetary Committee (1992-1993), President of the Group of 10 Central Banks Governors and President of the Global economy meeting in Basel (2002-2011). He was President of Sogepa (Société de Gestion des Participations Aéronautiques) (2012-2013) and Director of Airbus Group (2012-2018). He was named 'Person of the Year' by the Financial Times in 2007 and n° 5 of the 'World Most Powerful' in the Newsweek list (2008). |

Nadja Hahn is a radio journalist at the Austrian public broadcaster ORF, covering national politics for several ORF radio stations. Nadja Hahn has a background as a business journalist for many years and started her career as a finance reporter for Bloomberg News in London. In 2016, Nadja Hahn won the Austrian Radio Award and a special award of the UN at the New York Radio Festivals - both for a radio feature about the volunteers at Vienna's main train station during the refugee crisis 2015. Nadja Hahn studied at the London School of Economics (MSc in Political Economy) and Boston University (BA in International Relations). |
