23: „It does matter where“ – Raum fühlen, Raum hinterfragen
Kuratiert mit Cie. Willi Dorner, Wien
Wieviel Raum nehmen wir ein? Wie fühlen wir uns in unserer Umgebung? Wir als BewohnerInnen und BenutzerInnen tragen dazu bei, dass die für uns gebauten Räume zu Angeboten werden und unsere Sinnlichkeit, das Fühlen und das Denken beeinflussen. Vom eigenen Körper ausgehend und unter dem Titel „It does matter where“ stehen die verschiedenen halb-öffentlichen und öffentlichen Räume in Alpbach zur Diskussion und frei zur Überprüfung. Auch Konventionen des Verhaltens sollen im Rahmen des Workshops in Frage gestellt werden. Das Seminar setzt sich mit dem gebauten Raum, dem gestalteten öffentlichen Raum in seiner objektiven Erscheinung und mit den individuellen subjektiven Wahrnehmungen dessen auseinander.
Integraler Bestandteil dieses Seminars ist die Entwicklung der künstlerischen Eröffnung der Gesundheitsgespräche (Sonntag, 18.08.2019, 18:00) und eine Performance im öffentlichen Raum (Montag, 19.08.2019, 19:00).

Luisa Heilbron, born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, began dance studies in early childhood. She attended contemporary dance workshops such as Expressions Dance Company (Australia 2012), Complexions Dance Company (New York City 2013), World Dance Movement (Spain 2014, Italy 2016, 2018), Sidra Bell´s Improvisation Summer Module (New York City 2016), Peridance Center Sessions (NYC 2017), learning repertory of RubberbanDance Company (taught by Victor Quijada) and Kidd Pivot by Crystal Pite (Taught by Cindy Salgado), Gaga Movement language and repertory (taught by Noa Paran 2014/2015/2016/2018). In Spain she won a scholarship for the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, NYC, where she graduated with Minor Degree in 2016. Upon graduation she apprenticed for Roya Carreras + Artists (NYC) and performed in Dança em Trânsito, a major dance event in Rio de Janeiro working with Flavia Tapias. She is currently enrolled in 3rd year at SEAD, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance. Whenever free from school she freelances with choreographers, teaching classes or performing her own work. |

Andrej STEPITA
Student, Salzburg Experimental Academy of Dance, Salzburg
Born in Slovakia, Andrej achieved master’s degree in Dance Didactics at Academy of performing arts, Bratislava. Currently he is studying at SEAD, where he is now joining the last year of a 4-year program. He is a member of the dance collective "MimoOs". He performs as a performer and co-creator in the several performances, such as "Moving Mountains","Another song in silence", "unLEAN" (Poláková, Procházka), "Sensory understanding" (Poláková, Korec, Savel, Procházka), "Night Illusion" (Lachky). He is the author of the project "Passing" - a series of dance happenings taking place in the train stations. He is a graduate of various dance workshops, including the 2nd China-CEEC Summer Dance Camp. In the past, he has performed in musicals, commercial and television dance projects. Andrej is also active in pedagogical activities. He had been teaching in several dance centers in Bratislava. He is a director of a Dance festival "Tanečno" in his home region, Orava, Slovakia, founded in 2017. |
Willi DORNER

Willi Dorner lives and works as choreographer in Vienna. His internationally touring artistic work include pieces for the stage as well as site specific performances. Cie. Willi Dorner’s works are invited by international festivals and promoters like "Theater der Welt", Salzburger Festspiele, Biennale de danse (Paris), Wiener Festwochen, Panorama Arte, Rio de Janeiro, Festival Bo:om, Seoul, Festival Transamerique, Montreal, springdance, Utrecht, Tanz im August, Berlin, Dance Umbrella, London, but also from institutions in the area of the fine arts: ART Basel, artist in residence /opening of Turner Contemporary, Margate, UK. In addition his pictures are shown in exhibitions in museums and galleries worldwide and published in various art-, design-, fashion- and architectural magazines. Together with different Austrian film makers he realized the short films TREID (1999), mazy (2003), body trail und fleeting (2009), set in motion (2012) and created the short film every-one (2015) together with the photographer Lisa Rastl. For his choreographic work he was awarded with Österreichischer Tanzproduktionspreis 2000 and he won prizes at various European choreography competitions. His short films are shown at different international festivals and he won prizes for his films at Pearls 07 Berlin and Choreographic Captures Munich and the Architekturfilmpreis 2017 of Internationale Kurzfilmwoche Regensburg. |
Esther STEINKOGLER
Choreographer and Dancer, Cie. Willi Dorner, Vienna
Esther Steinkogler studied contemporary dance in Salzburg (SEAD) and New York (Tisch School of Performing Arts). After receiving the Förderstipendium of TQW (Tanzquartier Wien) she came to Vienna and worked amongst others for Liz King, Oleg Soulimenko and Christine Gaigg. Since 2008 she has developped an intensive work relation with Cie. Willi Dorner. She was part of the creation and touring of "above under inbetween", "urban drifting", "fitting", "living room", "one", "many" and "every-one" as well as the film projects "tracing", "set in motion" and "every-one". Since 2010 she also acts as a choreographic assistant and rehearsal director for the company, and has been responsible for the choreographic realisation of the show "bodies in urban spaces" in over 60 cities worldwide. |
