Stellen Religionen wirtschaftliche, soziale, politische oder geschlechtsspezifische Ungleichheiten infrage oder verfestigen sie diese sogar? Wie ist das Paradox zu erklären, dass revolutionäre, zeitkritische Glaubensgründer (Jesus, Mohammed, Siddharta, Buddha) zur Rechtfertigung von Unterdrückung instrumentalisiert werden können? Warum können umgekehrt Religionsgegner im Namen der Gleichheit hierarchische und repressive Verhältnisse bestärken? In dem Seminar soll ein differenziertes Verständnis erarbeitet werden, welche Rolle Religion im Blick auf UnGleichheit spielt und spielen kann, positiv wie negativ.
