in englischer SpracheDas Gleichheitsprinzip ist einer der Hauptgrundsätze des modernen Verfassungsrechts, fast jede Rechtsfrage ist davon berührt. Dieses Seminar vergleicht die Orientierung der obersten Gerichtshöfe in den USA und Europa im Hinblick auf die Interaktion des Gleichheitsprinzips mit Diversität und dessen Schnittstellen mit Recht, Politik und Gesellschaft. Von besonderem Interesse sind die Entscheidungen der obersten Gerichtshöfe auf intersektionelle Benachteiligung aufgrund von Rasse und Geschlecht sowie von strukturelle Ungleichheiten.
