10: Muslims in Europe

-
Hauptschule
Seminar /
in englischer Sprache

The study of Muslim minorities in Western Europe has become ever more important in the light of recent events on its soil, namely the terrorist attacks in Amsterdam and Madrid in 2004 and the London bombings of 2005. Questions of political identity, Diaspora, ethnicity, gender, culture, integration, multiculturalism, Sharia, Mosques and Imams, intelligence policing and security in relation to variously differentiated Muslim minorities are more important than ever. These seminars focus on these questions and many more in an effort to fully contextualise and synthesise the complex debates and discussions in this area.
