Alpbach Talks: Falling Fences

At the event, media professionals from different countries will discuss the boundaries of journalistic work. Amongst other things, they will deal with questions such as: How far can journalists go when procuring information, and is their objectivity threatened if they also work for sponsors? What about "embedded journalism"? Is it a new possibility for on-the-spot media coverage or rather a way to influence journalistic work from the outside? What are the challenges for journalists living in countries where media freedom is curtailed?
