Architecture Symposium

The Alpbach Architecture Symposium 2003 will address the theme of continuity and discontinuity from various standpoints. In a first day programme organised by the City of Vienna, in cooperation with the leading urban theorist Tom Sieverts, the changing nature of a series of cities in the alpine region is analysed. What is the relationship between city and country? What is the role of transport policy? Day two will discuss the relationship between architecture, nature and the green movement and investigate the sustainability of our pattern of land use.
