Architecture Symposium

Over the last century, architecture and urban development in Central and Southeastern Europe have displayed various overlapings between very different economic, political and social developments. The dynamics and intensity of this ongoing transformation manifest themselves clearly in the cities design and redesign. Based on the example of the Danube region and the Balkans, this year s Alpbach Architecture Symposium will address European architecture and identity in the context of economic and urban development in an enlarged Europe.
