Film Workshop

-

The Filmworkshop 2003 will - as in the last years - present a variety of topics: The movie production will focus on set-architecture, an important part of all movies; on cinematographic and phenomenological art, interpretation and effect on the viewer.

Film-making will look into stunts, tricks and special effects. Especially these parts have, thanks to computer-support, opened totally new possibilities to create "realities" which are fully artificial.

Product placement in movies, still-stars, property issues, and expected effects of such placements will be analyzed. This is a growing market.

Film history will look into the American movie industry after 1945, especially in crime and entertainment genres, the changing viewers expectations, will cover the raise and the crisis of this industry, the political situation, and also new technical developments; Oscar nominations and policies; violence in movies.
