Financial Market Symposium

-

The European financial market is changing drastically. Several reforms aim at deepening Europe's financial integration. The European Central Bank has been given a new task as a supervisory body which will implement various "stress tests" this year.

How can a stable financial sector be ensured? How can we finance the real economy through banks, capital markets and alternative ways of financing? How can investors support growth when providing funding and allocating capital to the most productive purpose?

The Alpbach Financial Market Symposium will shed a critical light on the fundamental questions of Austrian and European finance. Experts from politics, finance and academia will debate these questions with the Alpbach audience in plenary sessions and in informal gatherings. For the first time, we will also discuss questions relating specifically to the financial sector in interactive parallel sessions.

Time: August 28, 14:30 – August 29, 18:00
Venue: Congress Centre Alpbach (Plenary Sessions), Hotel Böglerhof and Alpbacherhof (Breakfast Clubs)
Language: English and German (simultaneous translation of Plenary Sessions)
