Health Symposium
-Medicine is standing at a crossroads: Shifting medical requirements and society's needs demand for fundamental decisions. Technological innovation and scientific progress offer unprecedented opportunities. Health systems have to decide which developments are useful, ethical and affordable for our societies today and tomorrow.
Under this year's general topic "At the Crossroads" the Alpbach Health Symposium will use interactive processes to identify scenarios and concepts for a future-proof health system. Experts will provide insights into the ever-increasing abstraction and synthesising of human nature brought about by big data, genetics and brain research. In a unique interdisciplinary setting, participants from all sectors of the health system will identify realistic solutions at national and European levels.
