Political Symposium
-Freedom, solidarity and human rights - the fundamental pillars of the European Union - are all currently under attack. 2015 will go down in history as the turning point at which global reality reached the old continent. Within this context, the Political Symposium will concentrate on three core questions:
How can the EU build on its strength of placing common goals above what divides us in a crisis-ridden world? In the programme track "Foreign Policy", we will analyse how the EU can successfully implement the new "Global Strategy on Foreign and Security Policy".
What tools are needed to facilitate citizen involvement in the digital age? Under the theme "Innovation & Democracy" we explore new paths for politics, civil service and governance.
Which initiatives open up new pathways to sustainable development? A session with entrepreneurs who are putting UN Sustainable Development Goals into practice is presented and will form a bridge to the Economic Symposium.
Moreover, the programme track "International Law" opens the door to the Legal Symposium. For the first time, participants of the Political and Legal Symposia are welcome to attend both programmes.
