Political Symposium

-

Complexity is on the rise, divisions are widening, and political conflicts are intensifying - on national, European, and global levels. Leaders of authoritarian and populist movements are offering deceptive answers to the problems faced by open democracies. But the fight for the future of democracy and human rights, of the state and society, has only just begun: politics is back. More and more people are getting involved and fighting for new forms of political participation. This is no coincidence, as a lot is at stake: Europe, multilateralism, peace, security, and a sustainable future.

The Political Symposium is dedicated to these central challenges and to presenting innovative ideas for politics and policy-making in the 21st century. More than 20 partner organisations from Austria, Europe, and the USA contribute their expertise and knowledge. In the warm-up programme, interactive workshops will offer sound insights into diplomacy and international politics behind the scenes.
