Seminar Week

-

The social changes of the previous decades have left many people disoriented; their confusion has been even further intensified by the EU s crisis. Which values will be important for shaping our future in a reasonable way? This question not only has implications for politics, business and new ways of life, but also for the way in which we interact with the environment and use natural resources.

The seminar week is the scientific centrepiece of the European Forum Alpbach. 16 interdisciplinary one-week seminars approach the general topic from different scientific perspectives. Each seminar is accompanied by two renowned experts. They introduce the participants to the latest findings from theory and practice in their respective fields of expertise and create room for interdisciplinary exchange and intensive discussion, outside the established research institutions.

The seminars are organised by the EFA s Scientific Advisory Board which is chaired by Peter C. Aichelburg.

Seminars 01-08 take place from 9.00 am to 12.00 am

(Except for Sunday, August 18, 11.00 am to 2.00 pm)

Seminars 09-16 take place from 2.00 pm to 5.00 pm

(Except for Sunday, August 18, 3.00 pm to 6.00 pm)
