The Alpbach Summer Schools are one- or two-week training courses. Under the guidance of renowned experts, participants have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the fields of ‘European Law and Integration’ and ‘European Health and Social Systems’.

Summer Schools on European Law and European Integration
Since 1992, the Alpbach Summer Schools on European Integration have been held to explain the workings of the European Union and the legal structure of European integration. The courses are taught by renowned professors, with guest lecturers from the domains of politics, diplomacy and business adding a good measure of practical input. Depending on the course, different levels of previous knowledge are requested.

Alpbach Summer School European Health Care and Social Systems in Transition
Since 2008, the European Forum Alpbach has also organised the English-language Summer School ‘Health Care and Social Systems’. This summer school addresses the hot topic of organizing and financing health care and social systems in Europe and is directed at future healthcare decision-makers. It offers eminent international lecturers as well as numerous case studies and aim to jointly build scenarios for the healthcare systems in the participants’ home countries.
