Technology Symposium

-

The Alpbach Technology Forum is Austria s most important discussion platform for politics, the economy and science. It intends to show the importance of technological developments for the economy and society as a whole as well as for the standard of living, the quality of life and competitiveness.

In plenary lectures and working groups more than a hundred outstanding personalities from the scientific community, the political area and the economic scene will take part in discussions.

In order to underscore the interdisciplinary character of the plenary lectures, they are fashioned according to a "cross over" model. In the working groups, experts discuss and elaborate on relevant questions in such a way that politicians can be provided with the fundamental basics for making decisions.

Junior Alpbach will again be one of the main programmes of the Technology Forum: in confrontation and through discussions with the most excellent and interesting scientists present in Alpbach, young people shall become enthusiastic about science and especially the natural sciences.
