Technology Forum
-The Alpbach Technology Forum as part of the European Forum Alpbach is the largest platform for a research- and technology-related debate in Austria. Due to its international focus it has become an indicator for new trends, setting benchmarks for technological developments.
Science and technology will play a key role for shaping our global future. To implement innovations sustainably also means to include the expectations and perspectives of future generations in the research process. Questions of ecology and social fairness give rise to new concepts. Research and technology are part of the global responsibility for the future of our earth. From "Powering the future" to "Global earth research", from "The global competition for production and research" to "Emerging technologies that will change our lives", the Alpbach Technology Forum will present state-of-the-art approaches and applications. Numerous plenary statements and thirteen working groups will convey research in an interdisciplinary dialogue with international expertise. "Junior Alpbach" and the "OE1 Children's University" show new ways of natural science-education for future generations.
Alpbach, a cosmopolitan Alpine village, is an ideal place for productive encounters and networking in science, politics and industry.
