Tyrol Day

The Faculty of Humanities 2 (Language and Literature) of the University of Innsbruck engages in a multitude of research projects on history, culture and the media, examining processes of transformation, cultural encounters and their different representations. Methods of transfer and translation, be it from one medium to another (e.g. literature adapted for film) or between different historic periods (e.g. the myth of the Tyrolean Revolution) are one point of focus.

These research questions and results are highly relevant for society and benefit language and migration policies, especially in a multilingual region like Tyrol.
