Tyrol Day

Within the last years Tyrol has become internationally visible in oncosciences. Starting at the clinics and institutes of the Innsbruck Universities, a competitive research cluster has been formed with the goal to develop personalized cancer medicine from bench to bedside. Several special research programs funded by the Austrian Science Fund (FWF) as well as the competence centre for personalized cancer medicine, Oncotyrol, which is funded by the Austrian Research Promotion Agency (FFG) and by the provinces of Styria and the Tyrol, provide strong grounds for these developments.
