Education must be employed as the most important means for integrating young people with migration backgrounds. Universities as institutions of higher education and research accompany integration processes at both, academic and personal levels. Moreover, they trigger integration processes by preparing young people for their professional future. In this respect, universities play a central role in the implementation of social mobility and of cultural as well as political integration. Three panel discussions will offer insights into the universities as centres of diversity and present projects that deal with migration as a resource, showing ways in which participation can be ensured.
