Jonathan Livingstone is a prolific stage actor. Starting with various performances in productions directed by Marcus Condron, he went on to train at RADA, where he had parts in La Malquerida, Romeo and Juliet, The Strangeness of Others, A Number, Women Beward Women, The Cabinet Minister, Tartuffe, Blood Ties (Antigone), Vassa, and Man Equals Man, between 2006 and 2008. | |
Upon graduating, he gained the part of Doug in Lyndsey Turner s production of Ignition 2 in the Royal Court Theatre s Jerwood Upstairs. This same year, as well as playing the Cheshire Cat in Alice in the Walled Garden, he also joined the Propeller cast to play The Prince of Morocco and Hippolyta in Edward Hall s visionary productions of Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night s Dream. | |
In 2009, Livingstone played David Taylor in War Horse, the National Theatre s production that toured to the New London Theatre. After a 2010 appearance at the Arcola Theatre in North London, he returned to Propeller to play Lysander and Snout in Edward Hall s Pocket Dream. 2011 has seen him feature in 7 new plays by young writers, produced by Kids Company and the National Theatre Studio. He has also played Adriana in Propeller s Pocket Comedy, and Curtis in the RSC s production of The Taming of the Shrew. This same year, he gained the part of Andy Taylor in BBC television show Holby City, whilst in 2012 he appeared in Redwave Films Still Life. |
