Miriam FASSBENDER Film Director, Berlin

	Starting autodidactically into the filmbusiness Miri¬am Fassbender worked as 2nd and 1st camera assis¬tant for films such as, amongst others Shooting Dogs (Dir.: M.C. Jones), Zarins Story (Dir.: Shirin Neshat), Desert Flower (Dir.: Sh. Horman), Soul Kitchen (Dir.: F.Akin) or Baader Meinhoff Komplex (Dir.: Uli Edel).
	In 2001 she took part in a semester of Cinematogra¬phy at Tisch School of the Arts/New York University. From 2001-2004 she studied Cinematography at the FAMU in Prague.
	Since that time she has worked as DOP on documen¬taries, including Menschen in der Viktoriastadt by J. Kochs, Ge9n by H. M. Helgason and Out of Place by M. Funk.
	Fremd is her first feature documentary as a director. She is currently writing a book.
	Her upcoming film is in preproduction stage.
