 Dr Nike Krajnc is forest engineer with experience in working in international teams. Dr Nike Krajnc's research and specialist work concerns the sphere of wood biomass production, processing and effective use. In the last 15 years, she has worked on the assessment of wood biomass potentials for energy purposes, analysis of wood biomass economy, and promotion of wood biomass amongst forest owners. Since 2002, she has been coordinating domestic and foreign research projects with emphasis on cooperation with industries and other end users of knowledge (primarily forest owners, farmers and local community representatives). Her bibliography includes more than 400 bibliographic units.
 Since 2009 she is head of department for forest technique and economics at Slovenian Forestry institute.
