Prof. Peter EISENMAN Eisenman/Robertson Architects

CV

1967 He founded the Institute for Architecture and Urban Studies (IAUS), an international think tank for architecture, and served as its director until 1982.
 Mr. Eisenman s academic career includes teaching at the universities of Cambridge, Princeton, Yale, and Ohio State
1982-1985 At Harvard, he was the Arthur Rotch Professor of Architecture.
1991 Mr. Eisenman was one of only two architects selected to represent the United States at the Fifth International Venice exhibition.
1993 He was the Eliot Noyes Visiting Design Critic in 1993.
2002 The firm s City of Culture of Galicia project was shown in the Ninth International Biennale.

Publikationen

House X (Rizzoli, 1982), Fin d'Ou T HouS (The Architectural Association, 1985), Moving Arrows, Eros and Other Errors (The Architectural Association, 1986), and Houses of Cards (Oxford University Press, 1987). Recent works include Chora L Works (Monacelli Press, 1997), co-authored with Jacques Derrida, and Diagram Diaries (Universe, 1999). Books featuring his work include: The Wexner Center for the Visual Arts (Rizzoli, 1989); Cities of Artificial Excavation (Canadian Centre for Architecture, and Rizzoli, 1994); Eleven Architects in Search of a Building (Monacelli Press, 1997); and the monographs Eisenman Architects (Images Press, 1995) and Peter Eisenman (Electa, 1993).
Additionally, Mr. Eisenman was an editor of the journal Oppositions (IAUS, 1973-1984) and Oppositions Books, and his numerous essays on architecture have appeared in magazines and journals worldwide. Monacelli Press published his Blurred Zones: Investigations of the Interstitial and Giuseppe Terragni: Transformations, Decompositions, Critiques in 2003.
