04 The EU’s Performance on the Global Stage: Which Values Will Matter Tomorrow?

-
Hauptschule
Breakout /
in englischer Sprache

European Forum Alpbach in cooperation with the Federal Ministry for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria
The breakout session will identify the key values guiding – or ideally guiding – Europe s global performance in the coming decades. How much do political and commercial interests as well as particular and public interests influence the EU s global performance? How can European values, such as sustainable wealth creation, the central role of the law and institutions, the striving for social equity and equal opportunities, translate effectively and coherently into external action? And finally, how can the EU position itself as a global agenda-setter instead of just following the agenda set by others?
