11 Feeding the World

-
Hauptschule
Seminar
in englischer Sprache

Despite progress having been made, almost 850 million people in the world are estimated not to have enough food to lead active and healthy lives. Agriculture and food systems face the enormous challenge of meeting the growing demand for more and higher quality foods, while supply is limited by the scarcity of good agricultural land, climate change, and additional demand for bioenergy as well as social and economic constraints. Apart from analysing driving forces and limitations, the seminar will address options to provide ample and healthy food that meets the nutritional needs of the world s growing population. The seminar will also look at obstacles for innovation and implementation.
