03: Smart City – Human beings at the Focus of Attention

-

in deutscher Sprache

Climate change and ever scarcer natural resources, especially of non-renewable energy sources, are the big global challenges of this century. They will determine how cities are built in the future, with more than half of all people living in cities today and consuming considerable amounts of energy. Smart technologies and concepts are meant to provide answers to these questions by connecting intelligent and systemic solutions with sustainable business activities. Smart city – the intelligent and future-compliant city – means the beginning of a new energy, mobility and economic system which guarantees its citizens long-term quality of life.
