in deutscher Sprache

Climate change and the increasing overall demand for energy services require us to implement clear strategies with regard to a “zero carbon society”. Apart from reducing consumption and increasing efficiency, renewable energy sources will be indispensable. Energy from biomass stands a good chance to be one of the main pillars of a global and sustainable energy system by 2050.

Experts will present an introductory overview on the global resources, technologies and prospects in the near future. In a world café, the development of bioenergy will be discussed from the perspective of the three pillars of sustainability, society, the economy and ecology.
