06: Corporate Management and Corporate Strategies in the European-Asian Context

To understand the different business cultures and the specific corporate strategies is a key success factor for European companies having economic relations with Asia and especially for those having branches in countries like China and India. At this working group scientists from the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration will report on studies to the items “Leadership behaviour of Chinese managers in decision-making” a comparative-empiric study with executives from different culture areas – and – Knowledge Management illustrated by the example of a technology enterprise with branches in Austria, China and India. In addition, well-known representatives of Austrian companies doing business in Asia will bring in their personal knowledge and experience.
