European Forum Alpbach
The EU discussion of required austerity measures and growth policies and of their sequence has been raging since the outbreak of the crisis. Economic arguments alone will not solve this dilemma, since the social cohesion and viability of the Union and of crisis countries are at stake. This breakout session is intended to discuss whether the diverging positions are incompatible and how the crisis could and should be solved.
