Supported by the Federation of Austrian Industries
In difficult economic times, industry has proved to be an anchor for jobs and prosperity. Still, North America and Asia are becoming increasingly attractive to investors, thanks to their innovative strength. National states and the EU have to take efficient measures to promote Europe as a business location. The European Commission has already suggested a proactive industry policy, including investments in innovation, improved market conditions, access to capital, human resources and qualification. Is this the right way to improve Europe’s international competitiveness?
