Kal (meaning “black” in Romani) is a world music Romani band from Serbia. They play a mix of traditional Balkan Roma music featuring elements of tango and influences from Middle Eastern, Turkish and even Jamaican music. The band is also politically and socially engaged, fighting prejudice and anti-Roma sentiment.
