My other Life
Production: zwischen_produktionen
Ben or Emma. During the first days of the European Forum Alpbach, Swiss artist Mats Staub invites participants, locals, visitors, artists and staff members in front of his camera in order to reveal what they would have been called if they had been of the opposite sex. He then will edit the footage gathered over the three days to create a video installation, which will has it’s premiere with a film screening. The confluence of these many different faces who appear under their “other” name prompt a deep and emotional meditation on fundamental issues such as identity, destiny, family, community and the bonds that hold humanity together.
