From a technological point of view, however, we are already in the thick of it: industrial and energy producing corporations are nearing their maximum efficiency levels. Only by linking individual disciplines and by recognising that global conditions differ greatly can regional or national laws on energy and climate policy be usefully and specifically assessed.
