02: Being Family Friendly – Cosmetic PR or a Successful Route to Equality of Opportunity?

-
Hauptschule
Breakout /
in deutscher Sprache

Families are an attractive target group, yet often find no truly appreciated place in our society. Being family friendly is presented as an important economic indicator for sustainability. However, we still need to develop a better appreciation of the economic relevance of family friendliness as a competitive advantage in our economy. What is necessary in order for Austria to become the most family-friendly country in Europe? What tools can we use? Is it a matter of growing profit in the balance books, further regulation, or can a change to grow and develop family friendliness still take further hold without regulation?
