08: The Findings of Brain Research – A Blessing or a Curse?

Neurosciences aim to make their findings applicable for curing diseases and, in addition, try to answer fundamental questions, such as: how do we see, hear, feel? What determines the individuality and personality of individuals? How do we think, learn, remember things, etc.? What determines our behaviour? In this context, we also have to ask the question of how we can deal responsibly with such findings and their consequences for society.
