I.10: Community Clinic Volunteers Fighting Austerity Measures Causing Deaths of Patients in Greece
The Metropolitan Community Clinic provides primary cost-free health care to the unemployed, uninsured and needy in Greece. It is a completely voluntary initiative that performs some 1500 patient-visits per month. The goal is to serve people without the intention of replacing the national health care system. The project strives for a public health care system that provides high quality services and is open to all.
