11: The EU’s Energy and Climate Policy – A Threat to Our Industries?
Supported by the Austrian Federal Economic Chamber
At the beginning of 2014, the European Commission presented its suggestions for the EU’s climate and energy policy until 2030. A commitment to reduce greenhouse gas emissions drastically by 40% is at the core of the 2030 targets. The EU has had a leading role in climate protection with its 2020 goals – other regions, however, have not followed suit. Which future role should the EU choose in climate and energy policy? We invite you to discuss the risks and opportunities of the EU’s climate and energy policy for Europe’s energy-intensive industries with the experts.
