11: Children’ s Universities – Universities within Reach

Children’ s universities can make a decisive contribution to opening access to universities. The European children’s universities network has identified 389 projects worldwide, reaching more than 500,000 children annually and involving over 15,000 researchers. Children’s universities have been established in Austria for 15 years. With the examples of the “Kinderuni Wien” and the “Kinderuni on Tour”, participants will discover successful Austrian initiatives.
