11: Hydrogen and Fuel Cells: A Market Breakthrough Ahead?
Hydrogen and fuel cells show great potential to become key technologies for sustainable mobility and energy supply. Germany promotes hydrogen and fuel cell technologies, stationary applications and the development of hydrogen refueling-stations. Supported by the Juncker investment programme, infrastructure development should be further intensified. Will hydrogen and fuel cell technologies be competitive future solutions, and in which areas can we expect them to be rapidly commercialised? What are the opportunities for Austria?
