Societies benefit from migration and enhanced mobility through ensuring equal treatment of migrants in a dynamic labour market. The recognition of a migrant’s qualifications represents one of the first and most important steps in ensuring that people can contribute to society according to their skills, abilities and preferences. How can the mutual recognition of qualifications be facilitated between Austria, Europe and other parts of the world? Are there any best practice examples? What are the biggest obstacles when it comes to recognising migrants’ skills and qualifications? How can we overcome them?
