17: How to Make TTIP Inclusive for All? Towards a Fair World Trade Order

in englischer Sprache

Since the failure of the Doha Round, the quantity and quality of regional trade agreements have increased dramatically. New trade and investment initiatives like the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership (TTIP) go far beyond the size and depth of traditional trade agreements. Which economic consequences for developing countries could evolve from those huge regional trade deals? How can mega-FTAs like TTIP foster global inclusive growth and economic convergence? What needs to be done to ensure that developing countries are not put at a systematic disadvantage? How can regional initiatives and integration efforts support the multilateral process rather than hinder it?
